What glassware is included with the EcoVap RE-302 / RE-305?
The EcoVap RE-302 is supplied with a 1 liter evaporation flask, 1 liter collection flask, a vapor tube, and a vertical coiled condenser. The EcoVap RE-305 is supplied with a 5 liter evaporation flask, a 2 liter collection flask, a vapor tube, and a vertical coiled condenser.
What size are the glass joints on the EcoVap RE-302 / RE-305 rotary evaporators?
On the EcoVap RE-302 the joint for the evaporating flask is an NS 24/29 ground glass joint (older RE-302 models have a 29/32 joint), and on the EcoVap RE-305 it is a 50mm flange joint. On both models the joint for the collection flask is a KS 35/20 ground glass joint.
I'm concerned about purchasing a rotary evaporator from China. What happens if it breaks?
The EcoVap rotary evaporators have an extremely simple design. If any problem occurs, we will help you diagnose the problem remotely and Hydrion will ship you the necessary replacement part which can be easily installed.
What size tubing is needed to connect to the condenser?
Hydrion recommends using 8×12 mm (ID / OD) silicone tubing. That would be essentially equivalent to 5/16" ID, which is a common tubing size.
